Bethesda Medical Center in Haiti

As a Certified Financial Planner and the president of Taber Financial Advisors, Randyl Taber offers a range of financial management and estate planning services. Randyl Taber also serves as the volunteer capital campaign director for Mercy Compassion, Inc., a global humanitarian service organization affiliated with One Mission Society.

Mercy Compassion, Inc.., is raising funds to relocate and expand Bethesda Medical Center, an independent Christian medical ministry in Cap Haitian, Haiti, that provides essential treatment for patients with chronic conditions such as malnutrition and diabetes. Approximately 40 percent of the Haitian population lacks access to essential health care, and the expansion of Bethesda will help widen access to vital services.

In addition to providing treatment for chronic conditions, Bethesda operates several wards devoted to care for individuals with diseases such as tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS. A prenatal and postnatal clinic also sees to the health of pregnant women and their babies. The facility relies on the generosity of donors to purchase medicine, laboratory supplies, and consultations for patients who cannot pay.
